NM School Counselor Association promotes the image and influence of professional school counselors, empowering them to promote students success in the areas of academic, career, and social/emotional development. The mission of NMSCA is to promote excellence and ethical practice in the profession by providing leadership, support, and advocacy for school counselors.
The New Mexico School Counseling Association is a professional organization that has officially served school counselors of NM since 1964. We would not be here without the support of many dedicated school counselors in our history. Their vision continues to progress as we work to support NM school counselors in the 21st century. NMSCA’s focus is to advance the profession of school counseling in order to maximize the educational, career, and social/emotional development of all New Mexico’s students. We believe that all students deserve to benefit from a comprehensive, data-driven school counseling program delivered by a licensed professional school counselor. By joining NMSCA, you gain the opportunity of new support and the ability to collaborate with counselors throughout the state. The NMSCA also offers monthly blogs, resources, and an annual conference which members can attend with discounted pricing.
