Per the New Mexico Counseling & Therapy Practice Board, September 29, 2022:
To renew a license, New Mexico law requires that all registered and licensed professionals submit proof that they have completed forty (40) hours of continuing education within the current two-year renewal period beginning October 1st through September 30th. All licensees must have twelve (12) hours of ethics courses included within the 40-hour continuing education requirement.
Per the New Mexico Counseling & Therapy Practice Board, December 12, 2022:
There are no longer requirements on how to get CEUs, they can be obtained however therapists prefer. 40 CEUs remain the required annual amount, 12 being in Ethics. PESI is acceptable.
