Inactive–New Mexico Association Of Spiritual, Ethical And Religious Values In Counseling (NMSERVIC)

Inactive– NMASERVIC is an organization of counselors who believe spiritual, ethical, and religious values are essential to the overall development of the person and are committed to integrating these values into the counseling process.

NMASERVIC is a division of the New Mexico Counseling Association (NMCA) and was chartered in 1995. NMASERVIC creates an environment to empower the expression, exploration, development, and research of evolving spiritual, ethical, and religious values as they relate to the person, to society, and to the profession of counseling and human development.  We honor the diversity of humanity and the diverse expressions of the human spirit.

In our efforts to support our mission, NMASERVIC provides counseling resources and offers trainings and workshops for ethically addressing religion and spirituality in counseling and clinical supervision.  Additionally, we keep our members informed about national issues and laws related to religion, spirituality, and ethics, creating opportunities for enriching and respectful conversations about religious and spiritual difference and their implications for our work.

This Division is currently inactive

Sadly we did not have enough interest generated this year, If you would like to be a part of bringing this division of NMCA back please contact our Executive Director at ed@nmca-nm.org. NMCA has created a special interest group to continue to have a space for NMASERVIC and other inactive divisions to thrive and meet the needs of New Mexico Counselors and those we serve.
