Separated from NMCA, the New Mexico Career Development Association (NMCDA) serves professional counselors and human development specialist employed in schools, colleges, rehabilitation agencies, corrections, mental health areas, private business, and private industry. We promote, support, and recognize counselors and other personnel who are interested in the theory and practice of career development over the life span, helping people make initial career choices as well as mid-life and later choices.
NMCDA offers workshops, trainings, and conferences on a variety of career development topics throughout the year. NMCDA members receive special discount rates for these events. We also offer members-only events such as brown bag workshops.
For the community, NMCDA hosts free workshops open to community members and professionals interested in learning about New Mexico’s current job market.
